Toronto is 2 hours from Buffalo and is full of tall buildings, skyscrapers, and the CN Tower; tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere. If you go on a good day you can catch a baseball game at the Rogers Center, visit the Toronto Zoo, or take part in the largest street festival celebrating Greek food and culture. While Toronto may seem like a big city like New York City, it has a smaller population and calmer environment. If you love to learn and hate to traveling far then the Chautauqua Institution on the banks of Chautauqua Lake, is the place for you. It will allow you to get away for a few days while enjoying adult education like lectures, music, and dance but in a historical setting. There is also golf so you can get outside and enjoy the sunshine.
A guaranteed good time is in the heart of Philadelphia, people say it’s always sunny. This is the place you can enjoy a true Philly cheesesteak and so much more. This town is full of United States history as it served as the capital while the Revolutionary War was going on and after. For an Instagram worthy picture go and climb the Rocky Statue and Rocky steps, they were built for Rocky III. Running up the steps will make you feel like a true champion.
If you are a thrill seeker then pack your swimsuit, jump in your car, and head to the largest water park in New York called Darien Lake. This park includes 7 roller coasts, a giant Ferris wheel, and many different other attractions and entertainment options like bumper cars. It’s fun for the whole family.
